Hope Elementary got started with maker education in 2020 by adding STEM and Maker Education as a specials class for all elementary students. This elementary makerspace was created to give students a place to implement what they are learning in their homeroom class. The whiteboard tables give students a place to collaborate with other learners and give the makerspace a design thinking look. The Elementary Maker Curriculum is being implemented at Hope Elementary during the specials class time, and students have the opportunity to tinker, make, program, and engineer.
