In high school, these lessons serve as a resource bank for content area teachers to connect content areas together. Lesson plans are formatted in PDF format and paired with a Canvas LMS Course that can be uploaded to your school LMS for easy course management Aligned to the Indiana Academic Standards in a variety of subject areas as well as Employability Skills, and STEM Careers for cross-curricular integration. Integrate Maker Ed and STEM into Math, English, Science, Social Studies, and more for a deeper understanding of how the world really works post-high school.
The high school maker curriculum from 1st Maker Space brings a maker mindset to all areas of high school education. Our lesson plans bridge the gap between departments and content areas to create fun and engaging lessons like how to 3D print a Civil Rights Monument and laser cut a world map. All of our lessons are based on and align to the Indiana Academic Standards for grades 9-12 and designed for educators, by educators. The curriculum features over thirty lessons in the areas of recyclables, 3D printing, laser cutting, Arduino, and the BBC micro:bit. The curriculum developed by 1st Maker Space enhances a school's investment in the makerspace and equipment. Cost is per school and includes an instant digital download in a .ZIP format.
