Professional Development from 1st Maker Space is second to none. Our hands-on, experiential workshop and professional development experiences provide educators the foundation to lead STEM and Maker Education activities. All agendas for professional development sessions are customized to fit the needs of the client, and all planning sessions are included in the cost. Our workshops are designed to seamlessly integrate makerspace equipment into the classroom by connecting the maker mindset to current projects, Indiana Academic Standards, NGSS and lesson plans.

Introduction to Maker Education is an asynchronous, online course that has eight main units and is completely self-paced. This format gives educators the flexibility to add maker education to their curriculum on their own timeline. Throughout the course, educators will be challenged to think of teaching and learning in a way that promotes hands-on, learner-directed educational experiences.
The Introduction to Maker Education course takes place on the Dream. See. Do platform. Priced at $199/person, this course culminates in a Maker Mindset Certificate. Professional Growth Points are also available. Participants can purchase the course online or through 1st Maker Space directly using a PO.
