Ypsilanti Community High School
1st Maker Space recently installed severl dynamic makerspaces at Ypsilanti Community High School designed to spark creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning. The innovative library makerspace is equipped with tools and materials that support a wide range of STEM activities, empowering students to explore engineering, fabrication, and problem-solving through real-world projects. The Innovation Lab is a space with a design-focus, housing the Glowforge laser cutter and Cricut machines. The final Broadcasting room allows students a space to explore podcasting and digital design. By providing access to cutting-edge technology and opportunities for experiential learning, these spaces fosters critical thinking and prepares students with the skills needed for future careers in science, technology, and the creative industries.












Ypsilanti Community Middle School
1st Maker Space designed and installed a vibrant makerspace and Innovation Lab at Ypsilanti Community Middle School to ignite students’ curiosity and creativity through hands-on learning. These engaging environments are equipped with a variety of tools and resources that encourage exploration in STEM, design thinking, and problem-solving. By offering opportunities to build, experiment, and innovate, the space helps students develop collaboration, critical thinking, and technical skills that will support their success in high school and beyond.








Holmes STEAM Elementary
Holmes STEAM Elementary created a unique makerspace for all students to develop employability skills and expand their curiosity about the world around them. Through the use of impressive technology these elementary students will be exposed to various STEM careers while learning important life skills.






Ford STEAM Early Learning Center
Ford STEAM Early Learning Center serves children ages three years old through 1st Grade. 1st Maker Space installed a beautiful new makerspace in their library that will bring fresh learning experiences to these little minds. Exposing early learners to STEM careers and allowing them to explore various hands-on activities will spark a desire to learn more as they grow and develop. This space is a perfect way to engage and create STEM-minded students.
