California Schools
We're thrilled to announce our inaugural makerspace installations in the Golden State! Gardner Bullis Elementary in Los Altos Hills and Christa McCauliffe Elementary in Oxnard, California, are now equipped with dynamic, hands-on learning environments designed by 1st Maker Space.

The Boy Scouts' Skip + Alex Lange Innovation Center
The Boy Scouts’ Skip + Alex Lange Innovation Center at Camp Belzer in Indianapolis, India,na is the first of its kind space for the Boy Scouts of America Crossroads Council. The Innovation Center was created from the old fieldhouse, and this renovated space now contains different zones to divide this large space accordingly. The Innovation Center includes a side-by-side makerspace, STEM lab, and other fun adventure spaces.

Gary Community School Corporation
Two Elementary Schools and a Middle School
Gary Community School partnered with 1st Maker Space to install twelve makerspaces, STEM labs, robotics labs, and innovation spaces across Bailly STEM Academy, Glen Park Academy, and Beveridge Elementary School. These state-of-the-art learning spaces were designed to fit inside of the existing buildings, and instead of only one makerspace, teachers at these schools will have access to several different spaces for project-based and hands-on learning experiences.

South Bend Schools
Three Elementary Schools
ESSER funds were utilized to bring three full makerspaces to South Bend Community Schools. Each school wanted plenty of mobile storage to house all of the equipment and curriculum kits throughout the makerspace.

Daleville High School
Junior/Senior High School
Daleville Jr./Sr. High School is forging new career opportunities and community partnerships through a new makerspace. The Bronco Makerspace recently opened in September of 2021, and all 7th and 8th grade students rotate through makerspace on a nine-week rotation. The makerspace is part of a K-12 initiative to expose students to automation, manufacturing, and robotics.

High School
Kokomo High School is using their makerspace as a dedicated space to bring learning to life for high school students. 1st Maker Space partnered with Equitable Education Solutions to develop an amazing space from an unused art classroom.

Elementary School
This old computer lab was transformed into the makerspace for use as a Maker Education Special led by a dedicated STEM teacher. This space is all about integration with the focus being on STEM and Maker Kits that can be implemented for a beginning makerspace.

When you walk into Indian Creek Elementary in Lawrence, Indiana, the first thing you see is the makerspace. Making is not new to Indian Creek - ALL students create, make, and explore everyday. This makerspace and the materials within it was developed for any educator to use as a part of the daily learning experience for all students.

APA is on a mission to bring project-based learning to life through STEM and making. APA has launched three new makerspaces, one for each grade band, to provide their students with the hands-on materials needed to launch their PBL and STEM Program.

This district went all-in on making and STEM. Featuring three makerspaces in two elementary and one middle school, this district leveraged state funding for professional development first and then created three unique spaces for students and staff to tinker, make, and innovate.
